Tokyo Direct is proud to introduce: 群馬泉 GUNMAIZUMI - Yamahaimoto Junmai: a premium sake from Gunma Prefecture.
The brewery has a history of more than 150 years since its establishment. It keeps applying a traditional sake brewing style, called "Yamahai," which utilizes the power of natural lactic acid bacteria and takes longer time for the fermentation. It also uses a local sake rice brand "Wakamizu" cultivated in Gunma area.
They produces aged sakes. We can taste rich sweetness of rice and sourness, while feeling a mature flavor with smooth quality. We recommend to drink this sake with warm temperature (ぬる燗 i.e. around 40 C degree). Interestingly, the sake goes well with strong taste cheese dishes.
